Our Philosophy
At Serenity Atlas Counseling, we believe that every person has the ability to create lasting change. Our role is not to hand you answers — it is to walk alongside you, illuminate your strengths, and give you the tools to navigate your own path forward.
Founded in 1984 and proudly serving Pierce County for over 40 years, we offer structured, evidence-based programs rooted in CBT, motivational interviewing, and client-centered care. Our approach is built on two core values: accountability and empowerment.
We work with individuals navigating substance use, domestic violence intervention, and anger management — many of whom are court-ordered, and all of whom deserve to be met with respect, structure, and genuine belief in their ability to grow.

Substance Use Treatment
We offer comprehensive substance use programs tailored to meet individual needs and court requirements — from initial assessment through long-term recovery support.
Programs include: DUI Assessments, Individual Sessions, Deferred Prosecution, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Outpatient Program, and our Alcohol/Drug Information School held every third Saturday of the month.
Domestic Violence Intervention
We provide structured, court-compliant domestic violence intervention programs for individuals navigating the legal system. Our programs are built on accountability, empathy, and lasting behavioral change.
Programs include: Criminal Assessments ($250), Treatment Levels 1, 2 & 3.
Family Law Assessments (DVPO, Parenting Plan, Dissolution) — contact us for availability.
Men's groups available: Mondays 10AM · Tuesdays 6PM · Wednesdays 4PM & 6PM
Anger Management
Our anger management programs provide individuals with practical tools to understand and manage their emotions, improve communication, and build healthier relationships.
Programs include: Criminal Assessment ($250), 8-Hour Program, 16-Hour Program, 3 & 6 Month Programs.
Family Law Assessments (DVPO, Parenting Plan, Dissolution) starting at $1,500 — contact us for availability.
